What are the benefits to "Rent to Own" real estate? What is "Rent to Own"? Who qualifies? How does it work? In my opinion, I have heard about this option in the home buyers' term and I believe you pay the land/ house payment per month to the owner until it is paid off. Sometimes you would have to pay the irrigation payments with it as well. As always, you would also pay for water, sewer, garbage, and other utilities, but this is not in the "Rent to Own" contract with the original owner. "Rent to Own" tends to be on the expensive side. Well I would have to get a real estate appraisal agent to do an appraisal on the property. Then from there, I would have to go find a real estate agent with the given appraisal amount and hire them to sell the place. Okay, so good so far right? Wrong. From there it is endless paperwork with them, the insurance agency, and the bank. Then I'd be going back and forth with bids. When that's not bad enough as is, I have to be packed up and ready to move out of there by a particular date, if the place actually sells. Which means I would have to buy another place, and move into it before then. Don't forget those utility bills I have cancel for that place. Next I have to wait until the new owners pays for the place. However, I would only get a percentage of the money, because I would have to pay the appraisal agent, and the real estate agent. If I didn't finish paying off my mortgage withthe bank, the contractors, the inspectors, and the land tax, I would have to pay that too. If I had paid off on it all before I sold it, the rest of the money would go to a very small down payment of $10,000 on the next property, that will require $30,000 - $40,000 up front. The reality is that the majority of people who are homeless are unable to work due to certain disabilities. In other words, the best response is compassion. There is only so far we can do as a community, the major change has to come from a superior source, which is why I propose that the City of Austin ought to step up and diminish this problem. The City of Austin should build more affordable housing and assistance programs because it will help reduce homelessness.

People come for a great time and could not be done without the help of the people who have grown up to experience and love this city for what it truly is. Gentrification is a word used to describe the process by which urban communities are coerced into adopting improvements respective to housing, businesses, and general presentation. Usually hidden behind less abrasive, or less stigmatized terms such as; “urban renewal” or “community revitalization” what the process of gentrification attempts to do, is remove all undesirable elements from a particular community or neighborhood, in favor of commercial and residential enhancements designed to improve both the function and aesthetic appeal of that particular community. A mortgage is a form of debt, secured by the warranty of a specific real estate property. The borrower is required to pay back the debt in predetermined payments. The most common reason for acquiring a mortgage is to purchase real estate when it cannot be paid for up front. The homebuyer, in a residential mortgage, pledges their home to the bank. Over a period of years, the borrower pays back the loan with interest. Once the mortgage is paid in entirety, the owner retains the property free of any charges. However, in case of foreclosure, the bank has an entitlement on the house, as a form of insurance should the buyer default on repaying the mortgage. The bank can then sell the house, and use the capital to pay back the remaining mortgage.
