We know that the personalities that make you “yourself” is often complementary, but it could also impact you negatively. An example would be someone who was competing in some sort of race, and this person was so close to reaching first place, but his goal was just barely in reach. He, she or specified gender would have thought, “If only I was more persistent”, or “If only I was more tenacious.” Well, it was similar like this in Romeo and Juliet, a play about two star-crossed lovers’ deaths. It is shown that the personalities, setting and actions of the two main characters that Romeo and Juliet changes the course of the play drastically for the worse.

Their personalities are very unique and special to each other, as they love every part of each other. However, their personalities do not mean that only fortune and love will come out of it, because it will also create some conflicts between characters. Our dear Romeo is a very impatient person because he will not go “Wisely and slow. They stumble that run fast.” (Lawrence p91) Friar Lawrence said this knowing that Romeo is a very impatient individual because being an impatient individual mainly means bad omens. Everyone knows that people who do not have patience usually kicks the bucket first. One good trait that could come out of their personalities is their passion. Romeo and Juliet both have passion in their love, which makes them seemingly intangible. Their love is ”too Bold. ‘Tis not to me she speaks. O’ speak again bright angel, for thou art as glorious to this night” (Romeo 71) It is shown that their love is unbeatable and unmatched with each other as their similar personalities like passion and boldness draw them closer to each other than they were before. Their relationship was further improved by their similarities and because of that they also had some mishaps which led to their disaster that was impending. Being bold and passionate about something really makes a person tenacious and stubborn, which is a gift and a curse.
