Sometimes relationships are complicated, and other times their easy, but even though your in a complicated relationship, it doesn't mean that the relationship is bad, it just means that you might have to work on it a little more than other people might have too. Easy relationships aren't always good either, having a relationship where you never fight or disagree on anything might just mean that you can’t talk to the person you are with. He does get frustrated at times but he has never not answered a question for Lennie. Just like the time when George tells Lennie not to drink the water because it’s bad and George doesn't want Lennie to get sick. George is taking care of Lennie and he genuinely cares for him, and doesn't want him to get hurt or sick. George and Lennie's relationship might be more complicated than Romeo and Juliet, but it just shows that they truly are family. George would never leave Lennie behind, and Lennie never wants to let George down. However, Romeo and Juliet do everything in their power to be together, but in doing so, they hurt each other, and they hurt their families. They made everyone else suffer with them just so that they could be together, but in the end they ended up dying anyways. George and Lennie on the other hand, are together because it’s what's best for both of them, and by them being together they help the people around the more, because they are a package deal when they try to get a job, Lennie is the strong one who does a lot of good work and tries very hard to please everyone, and George is the one who finds them the best jobs to get so that they make the most money so that one day they can finally own a farm together instead of having to work on other peoples.
