Do you want to have a goodtime and visit the happiest, most culturally diverse heritage state on the United States? “Louisiana has got a very specific warmth and humidity and richness of light.” This quote was spoken by Christopher Heyerdahl who is a Canadian actor. Three points why you should go to Louisiana are that New Orleans is a fascinating tourist destination, the bayou country is a rich ecosystem, and lastly the food is very tasty and unique.
First off, I will mention how the capitol of Louisiana is New Orleans and it is a wonderful tourist destination. The city itself is located on the Missippi River, near the Gulf of Mexico. The city is nicknamed the “Big Easy” because a newspaper writer began calling the city by this name because she compared the easy-going lifestyle there to the hurried fast-paced lifestyle of New York City. New Orleans is well known for its round-the-clock nightlife, eccentric vibrant music scene including a genre called Zydeco. The heritage represents the spirit of Mardi gras which is celebrated annually in the late-winter and includes wild costumes, parades, and private parties. These swamps are full of cypress trees and Spanish moss hangs from the cypress trees. You will most likely see the swamp wildlife which includes alligators and many more species of birds. These territories have historical legends such as Bigfoot and not only is Bigfoot hiding out in the Bayou but many years ago Pirates would use the swamps to hideaway. One activity in particular that is popular among tourists would be to take an airboat adventure or if that doesn’t interest you than you may go down the swamps in a kayak.
