Moving can be an understandably stressful situation. After all, this is a time when you have to uproot your entire life and relocate somewhere else. You have to get used to new routines, flows of traffic and environments. In order to keep your stress level down, it's wise to carefully plan and stick to a wise and realistic moving timeline. If you're wondering where to start, consider including the following components in your moving timeline.

1. Create a budget.
One of the more stressful parts of moving involves whether or not you have enough money to take care of everything. Various moving companies are willing to come and give free moving quotes based on what you want. If you only want movers to transfer the extremely large items, find a few college students that are willing to move everything else at a cheaper rate.

3. Declutter.
It is more expensive to keep and move a whole lot of things. Take some time to go through everything in the house and be realistic about what you use and what you no longer need anymore. It's time to declutter and send items to the thrift store. Consider giving away some items to friend and family. If you'd like to see if it's possible to make a profit, sell some items on eBay or in a garage sale. You'd be surprised how much you can get rid of and not miss at all. The less things you have to move, the better off you'll be.

4. Gather boxes.
Moving materials are really important to have. Items like masking tape, tarp and boxes are really helpful. Instead of buying boxes from your local moving supply store, try visiting some of the local grocery stores and ask for their boxes once they finish getting shipments in.
