Some say that the great depression was caused partially by social democracy and planned economies. And although this could be true, it originally started from debts from World War I, and of course the stock market crashing in 1929.

Many blame President Herbert Hoover as the cause of this. And because of this blame there was a political realignment in 1932 to vote Herbert Hoover out of the president chair. This succeeded, and in 1933 the new president of United States was Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Before the revoting of President Herbert Hoover there was the beginning of the depression.

Hoover tried his hardest to get America out of this sinkhole.
But this was a hard task. And in less than months ,weeks, days or hours, many Americans were broke. This trouble caused hunger ,crop prices to lower, and little to no education for students. It also created dust ,new laws ,working with what you had, and lots of terror across the US. Many lost their jobs and tried to look for work. But it was very scarce to find. Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Colorado and Kansas were all victims. They suffered for hours on end of dust blowing through the air into their eyes, mouths and noses. Life could not survive the dustbowl either. Trees were once planted in hopes of collecting the dust, but instead the trees sucked all the water out of the ground. Making the dust even worse. Many tried to leave and find land elsewhere but nobody wanted them there because of low amounts of money.

Laws were placed next in hopes of whipping America back into shape. Most of these laws tried to help to fix finance corporation's, unemployment,and money in banks. These laws created during the great depression were laws that tried to fix the economy but failed miserably. For example the Roosevelt administration in 1937 cut spending taxes and raised taxes for the everyday American making the economy even
