Introduction Your in your house at night then you hear a noise kinda like a hiss then you look down and you see a possum staring at you and you jump with fear but no need to fear possums aren't really dangerous there animals that are a part of nature and i tell you some information about the night time critter the possum. What are possums Possums are marsupials (which means they have pouches) that only look for food at night these things live under houses, in trees, and in woods. There predators are foxes, bobcats,coyotes, dogs, owls,eagles, snakes and even some humans.now you're wondering what if a possum encounters a poisonous snake a possum can die to one but it’s actually immune to poison its like a bee sting to them but still they can get eaten by one anything poisonous can’t kill it that’s why there are a ton of possums alive due to immunity to venom from species of animals some species of possums eat …show more content…

Possums bite but do not get rabies because there blood temperature is too cold to survive in their bodies but it will still be painful but how to take care of it if it does bite you pour some peroxide on the bite and when it's dry wrap a band aid on the wound and let it heal for a couple of days. Possums will eat anything they will eat trash like, banana peeling, apple core, cans, paper, leftover food, bones, plastic, rubber, grass, dead animals, peaches, strawberries, plums, blueberries, apples, potato peelings, leaves, bread, toast, peanut butter,bugs, worms, and will eat other dead possums. If a possum eats something with a poisonous spray it will eventually die if a possum finds a possum with food they will fight over the food until the other one backs down just like other animals.
