Pete Maravich Basketball is seen as one of the most popular sports to play and watch. It has so many small things to learn just like any other sport. They have had many great players go through college and play professional basketball. Pete Maravich is one of those guys and you'll find out where he came from, how he impacted the game of basketball, and how he is arguably one of the best to play the game. It all started when Pete Maravich was born on June 22, 1947 in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania. When he was a young kid he had the natural talent to play the game of basketball. He had a father named Petar Press Maravich and a mother named Helen Maravich. His father was a great man who showed Pete everything there is to know about basketball. His relationship with his father was great, they always hangout together playing basketball. His dad was a great basketball coach and at one time he coached his own son. Ever since Pete was a kid he always wanted to go to West Virginia University but his dad coached Louisiana State University and offered him a position there. His dad used to be a coach at many different colleges but was recently added to LSU. So of course since it was his dad and because he had no choice that Pete went on to play college basketball at LSU instead WVU. When he was at LSU he broke so many records and averaged around 44 points a game during all of his time at LSU. He scored all of these points whenever they didn't have a 3 point line so imagine if they would've had the three point line when Pete played. If they would've had it he would've had a ridiculous amount of points per game and he would've had records that would never be

Press Maravich was the head basketball coach for Louisiana State University. Press was a former professional basketball player, and was also a naval aviator. He began showing Pete the fundamentals of the game of basketball when Pete was just seven years old. He constantly drilled and drove Pete to be better at basketball, and everything else he did throughout his childhood.
