Recommended: Impact of immigration on the economy of the United States

America the land of opportunities, freedom and equality for all. People began migrating to America since over 70 years ago in search of a better life. In earlier times Europeans migrated to the New World/America with the desire of making something better of themselves; some migrated to obtain land, and some migrated for an opportunity to live a more prosperous life. In the last ten year immigration to American has been composed of mainly Mexican Immigrants. Many people for decades have seen America as a wonderful country that offers everything one needs. Since American is perceived as such utopia those people suffering of poverty, corruption, and/or violence in their country have desire to move to America and establish a new life here. The whole reason they want to migrate to a new country is to get out of poverty and live a much better live. A life where they have the chance to have a job, chance to have things they never even dreamed of having in their country, and just escape from poverty. With the person not obtaining a visa their next option is to cross the United States and Mexico border. The process of obtaining a visa should be revised and changed it should be easier for a person to obtain a visa. That would reduce the number of illegal immigration greatly. Poverty is not only suffered in Mexico but is also suffered here in the United States, with many homeless people living under bridges in American cities, many using government help to live a well life, and America is in debt for billions of dollars but this is often not showed to other countries because America is such a great country who suffers no such problems. Even thought that is the case American does not show this problems to the immigrants and America is perceived as this great country who has everything working well.
