Bang! Crash! Are common things you may hear at a football game, but during that concussions might be happening in front of your eyes. Every year around 55,000 kids receive a concussion from playing football. About three million people in the United States are affected by concussions every year. Concussions are basically an injury to the brain? Kids playing football should have proper gear, they benefit from playing, and should learn the risks prior to playing.
One reason they should play is they develop good hand eye coordination but people of ask if they are protected enough. Sure they have knee pads, chest pads, a cup, and a helmet. Is that really enough to protect? Other body injuries can heal but concussions can heal but if the blow is severe enough it can easily screw up someone’s life. For decades people have been playing football and every year brings better and safer equipment. Also keep in mind the only time people have died in football are either from a heart attack or extreme loss of breath. Kids develop athletic techniques that you can’t develop in other sports. It also offers good hand eye coordination practice and makes the body stronger. Kids also have to not only be strong but they also have to be smart, every play is unpredictable which requires kids to be quick thinking. They also need to memorize plays and passing routes.
