With pride shining in his eyes, my grandfather came out on the back porch again, resuming his seat to watch the preceedings with a smile. “Welcome to the Pack, grandson, you will make our People proud.” As Sam explained my new responsibilities as a protector of the Tribe, I finally manage to calmed down enough to phase back. Since I grew up with the tribal legends like other kids did fairy tales, I quickly recognized what this meant for me as well as my people.
