One sunny afternoon my friends and I decided to go on a road trip to a small resort. We packed everything up and decided on the way across the Wisconsin Bridge that we all wanted to go to the Wisconsin Dells. This car ride was about to be long because not everyone in the car gets along. Britney just continued to yell at Bryce "Put your seatbelt on." "No, I'm 18, I can do what I want." Growing up as an only child I made out pretty well. You almost can’t help but be spoiled by your parents in some way. And I must admit that I enjoyed it; my own room, T.V., computer, stereo, all the material possessions that I had. But there was one event in my life that would change the way that I looked at these things and realized that you can’t take these things for granted and that’s not what life is about.
We walked around San Juan, the capital of Puerto Rico a little. Then we went to the ferry that was taking us where to Culebra. It was about 1pm by now. The ferry ride was about an hour and a half long ride. It was raining a little so we couldn’t sit outside of the boat and see the view. I ended up falling asleep for about half the ride. When we finally got to Culebra, we were so happy. It wasn’t raining anymore, the sun was out, and it was beautiful. At the time we didn’t have car so we were kinda stuck there. After a half hour of calling places to see if they had any cars for rental we finally found a place. We rented two big black jeeps for the next 10 days. I stood there, trying not to tremble. I anxiously counted the people in front of me and realized that after this next cart it would be my turn. The people ahead loaded up, the ride workers checked the lap bars, and then off they went, heading up the hill. Everyone in line, including myself, moved up to fill up the void left by the people who had just loaded on. I must have been shaking a bit because my sister who was behind me tried to calm me down.
It was a pretty day and it did not take long to get to the island. Once we arrived, there was a quick lesson by the captain. We snorkeled, had lunch and returned to Atlantis. Everyone was tired from the day and decided to turn in for the night.
