Recommended: Pursuing a career in public accounting

As I wrap up my Accounting program, I am starting to explore various options for what I want to do post-undergrad; I believe that the Peace Corps is an invaluable opportunity, and I am resubmitting my application because I am now able to leave earlier than previously thought.
I decided against going into public accounting – albeit the conventional route people in my program follow – because I did not feel that the corporate world suited me. Even though it promises the most money and a stable job market, I wish to pursue graduate school one day. I strongly value higher education and believe that it is a necessary tool for leaving a strong impact on the world. However, I believe the Peace Corps is a vital prerequisite to this.
