Most families take a yearly family vacation. Before, the trip to Florida was the best trip. The beaches had tan sand, there were people everywhere, the water was a dark blue and there were many stores to explore. The trip to Florida could not be beat by any other trip. Until the trip to Georgia was made. Georgia is the most memorable place because of the islands, the beaches, and the attractions. First, Georgia is the most memorable place because of the islands. The first Georgia Island was to Jekyll Island. Jekyll Island was not like normal islands, before entering a fee to open the gates were required, and every few miles there were signs that said “Watch for turtles crossing. If seen hitting one will be fined.” The island’s main attraction was the Sea Turtle Center. Here sea turtles that had been sick or harmed were brought back to health before returning to the sea. Georgia was a battle field for the Civil War. The light house was the first built and was used in the civil war; it is still used to this day for incoming ships, each ship will blow their horn 3 times in memorial. Today the light house is also used as a museum for tourist. The coast guard station that was used in the civil war is still standing, and is used as a museum for tourist to explore and see how the life of a costal guard was. In Georgia’s square was a park, within the park were actual pieces that were used in the civil was. For example, in the park there was an anchor that was used on one of the boats, a cannon that was used to help protect the shore from being invaded by enemies, and a dock was still standing that was used for a loading and unloading stations.
