First, I want to thank our professor TM Davy for a wonderful experience for my first semester year at SVA. I still remember the first day, while waiting outside of the room and anxiously waiting to learn what has yet to come for this class. Right at 3, you welcomed us by saying, “Come in, my painting class” and you said it with confidence. That was probably the greatest impression yet in SVA. I learned many things in this class, and I am glad you didn’t teach us much about technical skills in painting. Instead, you gave us more about your artist approach, which was your valuable knowledge and perspective in art. And thus, that is what makes you an artist. I personally enjoy all of your talks about art as you constantly put more window tabs on the window to show us all these different artists. …show more content…

And that is very important. I learned many great things here, and I do enjoy you sharing your input on the Hero’s Journey. And that is why my painting here today, is about my Hero’s Journey here at SVA. As for my first abstract painting, I wanted to show color. I took my friends and classmates favorite color and apply to how I see their favorite color in my own eyes and feelings. As I convey those colors here on my painting, it gives a representation of the obstacle I had or the happy memories I had experienced with them. This painting is very personal and I do hold dear to it. While I am not good at painting at all, but expressing some kind of meaning of my own intentions, I believe the color is what I can do best at the
