Manar Dawood Period: 0 Mutualism Mutualism is when two organisms of different species exist in a relationship in which each individual benefits from the activity of the other. An example of mutualism is the relationship between a bee and a flower. Bees need nectar to make into food and they get it from flowers. They travel from flower to flower collecting nectar. When the bees land in a flower, some pollen gets stuck on their hairy bodies. So when they go to the next flower some of this pollen rubs off on the other flower which pollinates the plant. This process benefits both, the flower and bee, because the flower gets to reproduce and the bee gets to eat. Bees do not purposely pollinate the flower, they actually want to take the nectar back
