Afghanistan is a large Middle Eastern country in South Asia, with has acquired a staggering population growth of approximately 32 million people; the 42nd most populated nation in the world. The president of Afghanistan is Mohammad Ashraf Ghani. He was elected on September 21, 2014 therefore being fairly new to the countries leadership. Mohammad Ashraf Ghani was previously the Finance Minister and chancellor of Kabul University. Born in Logar, Afghanistan in the year of 1949, he would go onto become of the most controversial leader due to his methods of political conduct.

The women of this country struggle to gain independence due to the suppression that they face from the lack of moral compass within the male population. They are rendered voiceless by the male dominion which looms over them out of fear for the abuse they are all too will familiar experiencing. Constantly being subjected to abuse can and does pose a high impact not only the women, but the society in which the women live. They feel that it is a right that they have acquired and thus secured for simply being born a men. They have been misguided by what it means to be a man due to the norms brought forth by their society and history. If this issue is not taken care of as soon as possible not only will more women loses their lives, but young boys will grow up and assume the position that their fathers have previously attained, beating and putting down women just as they had witnessed while growing. They see women not as the material carte takers that has served them their entire lives; but as objects that are at their leisure to be subjected as they see fit. The resolution of this issue is essential for the progression of the Afghanistan society and the future of women
