Mississippi History

Mississippi is a really nice state. Even though I am from Alabama, they are so similar that I feel like I am still in Alabama. Its easy living around here, just like back at home. In Mississippi there area lot of small towns and it seems like every body knows everybody around here. Mississippi has traditions of strong family ties with lots of family gatherings with good food and good fun. There have been a lot of good things and a lot of bad things. I think a lot of the good things that have happened have out weighted the bad things and now Mississippi is a real good place to live. Just like my home state of Alabama, being in the South, Mississippi has had to deal with a lot. They have had things like slavery, segration and some people are still not over some of those things. Some people that I have talked to think Mississippi is still a racism place and that blacks and whites live separately. This is not true though.
