Arthur Asher Miller was a really good man who work hard on his playwrights and loved doing his work to show the American ways. Miller was married about four times before dying in 2005. His fame was during a difficult time period in American history. He mostly wrote to show people about the American dream. Arthur Miller, wrote the dramatic “Death of a Salesmen,” it was one of the best plays he wrote, and he ended up getting the Triple Crown of Theatrical artistry: the Pulitzer Prize, the New York Drama Critics’ Circle Award and a Tony Award for his playwright.

Born in Harlem, New York, on October 17, 1915, Arthur Asher Miller was the second of three children of Isidore and Augusta Miller. Arthur Miller personality was pretty good, he unafraid to raise important social issues and to ask questions about society, presenting the other side of the Great American Dream. Joan Copeland (sister), Kermit Miller (brother) and Arthur Miller were raised in a moderately affluent household until there family lost almost everything in the Wall Street Crash of 1929. They subsequently fired the chauffeur and moved from the Upper East Side in Manhattan to Gravesend, Brooklyn. After graduating high school, Miller worked a few odd jobs to save enough money to attend the University of Michigan. While in college, he wrote for the student paper and completed his first play, No Villain. He also took courses with the much-loved playwright professor Kenneth Rowe, a man who taught his students how to construct a play in order to achieve an intended effect. Inspired by Rowe's approach, Miller moved back east to begin his career.

Arthur Miller, wrote a few great playwrights like for example the Death of a Salesman. He had a lot of people give him credit on how great he did that he won a few awards to show how good he did. The things Miller did will always be a part of history even though his gone. The modernist movement was a pretty hard time for writers during that time period. The Death of a Salesman was played all around the world and got a lot of credit. If Arthur Miller was still alive I bet he would of kept writing and would of influenced more young writers around the world.
