The roles of military leaders in World War II were very important. Some important leaders were Omar Bradley, Dwight D. Eisenhower, George Marshall, and George Patton. These leaders played a strong role in the war.
Omar Bradley was an Army General. He was not given the control of the front line until 1943, after Operation Torch. He commanded the II Corps to invade Sicily. Bradley was able to go from the bottom to having one of the highest positions in the Army. Bradley helped lead the Army in ways others could not. Overall he was a great leader and led the United States to victory.
Dwight D. Eisenhower was a commanding general during World War II, that led him to being president during the Cold War. Eisenhower obtained a truce in Korea. He commanded the Allied Forces landing in North Africa in November 1942; on D-Day, 1944, he was Supreme Commander of the troops invading France. He led the United States with heart, and the nation fell in love with him. …show more content…

In the beginning World War II, Marshall was in charge of enlarging the military. He helped come up with Operation Overload in 1944. He became known for the Marshall Plan, an economic recovery plan. Marshall was one of the greatest military leaders of all time, who left a lasting legacy.
George Patton was a senior officer of the United States Army who commanded the U.S. Seventh Army in the Mediterranean and European theaters during World War II. Pattons' team played a key part in defeating the German Counterattack. He died in 1945 in Germany due to an automobile accident. Patton was one great military leader, who accomplished a lot during his time.
