Mdisho And Roald Dahl Relationship

During Dahl's travels he comes across some very interesting people with unique personalities. Dahl meets these two helpful, warm-hearted warriors that understand war very well. One of those is Mdisho a young 19-year old boy in Dar es Salaam And the other Named David Coke in Greece. Both of these men understand war but think about it very differently about it. When Dahl arrives in Dar es Salaam, Dahl meets this interesting, exiting and fighting young man along his travels named Mdisho. Mdisho is 19-year old boy whom parents had died before he was 12. Mdisho was Dahl's servant before Dahl left off to join the air force he had a fighting background, because he is from the Mwanumwezi tribe. David Coke is a fighter pilot way kinder than the Corporal and seems more hopeful about the situation that they are outnumbered by the Germans 50 to 1! David Coke is helpful person. When he found out Dahl had never been in a battle and had only seven hours on the Hurricane (the fighter plane) David Coke was in complete shock "He stared at me as though he were seeing a ghost" (first encounter with a bandit 45). Then David Coke "shows Dahl the ropes to fighting in the air" He pretty much teaches Dahl how to fight against certain German aircraft, how to attack and how to aim the plane because "You don’t aim the guns you aim the plane". There is very different perspective of how Mdisho sees war and how David Coke sees war. Mdisho is a warrior it's in his blood/naturality he wants to and likes to fight when he hears about war. David Coke is not so hopeless as others that they are outnumbered like 50 to 1 which the Corporal states that they only have 15 fighters and 4 bombers and the Germans have about 500 fighters, 500 bombers.
