The Eraser had kicked Max’s cage so hard that it rolled three times and landed near the door of Angels cage. She unhooked her cage she got out and started to run only to be chased by two white coats. The Eraser that is attacking Max had ripped the cage door open and Max lunged out hit the Eraser out of the way. She bolted over to Fangs door opened and looked to the sky only to see a large flock of raptors and big birds lead by Iggy and Gasser. The birds came down and started attacking the Eraser’s all in the attempt to help the flock escape. They flew off thinking that they would get caught and landed near a small town. They found a diner and decided to go and eat while they had some money. They order at least enough food to feed a family of 20 people. While they were eating the regular people all cleared out awkwardly and these tall handsome men came in and sat down around them. They were Erasers of so they made a plan to escape. Nudge and Gasser both escaped one right after another and the rest followed. They ended up stealing a van that a worker left the keys in and they drove off. On the highway the Erasers were in black hummers following and catching up
They talk to their dad and he tells them that he worked with a man called Lice Pecking. He says the he also worked on the boat and he could testify on the fact that Dusty really did dump his waste into the ocean. It turns out he is kidnapped and is unable to testify. They meet his wife Shelly. She tells them that she will help them stop Dusty’s Casino scam. She tells him that she wants to work as a bartender in Dusty’s Boat. She tells them that one night she stays late and sees Dusty dumping the waste from the ship. A few days later he goes to a small pond and sees a park ranger putting up signs that say the water in the pond is contaminated from human waste. Since there are many boats docked in the harbors its impossible to see what boat the waste is actually coming from. They then get the idea to color the waste with a very bright dye and allow after us seeps out the trail of brightly colored water will be tracked back to dusty’s boat. They then go into a food store and purchase 35 bottles of Fuchsia dye. They then tell Shelly their plan. They tell her that Noah will hide in a box full of rum and wait till it is picked up and placed on the ship he then will go into a restroom and Shelly will tack on an out of order sign.
Robert returns to the front on an ammunition convoy towards Wytsbrouk. He encounters some shelling but his life is spared. On the seventh day since returning from the front Robert is with Captain Leather and thirty horses and mules. When the German’s begin to bomb their location Robert asks Leather if he can release the animals in order to save them, but Leather was in a panic under a table and refused. However, Robert convinces Devlin to open the gate to release the animals. When Leather witnesses what Devlin is doing he fires and shoots Devlin in the head. Shells begin to land in the barns and as Roberts attempts to kill the wounded animals he thinks that if Leather was an animal he was be deemed mad and be shot.
The birds attack in the same way also. They come through the house, peck at the windows, and try to come through the doors. They succeed in coming through upstairs in both the film and the short story.
It is evident that Max tries to escape his reality and get lost in a world where he can find freedom from his complex troubles, much like every other child in the world today whom does not know how to deal with such chaotic and complicated thoughts. Max, unknowingly comes face to face with all his emotions through the lives of others, helping him to come to an understanding in his escape. In the film “Where the Wild Things Are” Max’s sister ignores him, he feels his mothers new boyfriend is taking her from him and he is overall portrayed as a lonely, lost character. Max is told by his mother that he has gone out of control, which essentially is the last straw in initiating him to run away to where he eventually ends up where the wild things are. However, all this begins to change once Max begins to communicate and reflect on what others say to him. When Max is flying his kite, Margaret enters the scene when she lands her toy airplane near Max and Dirk. Margaret then says that Max has been a jerk to her, and then leaves. Prior to this encounter, Max dropped out of school and became a recluse, but after Margaret enlightened him about his behavior, Max became his former self and made a list of people who would be interested in a newly-formed kite club. Margaret was finally able to speak her mind and in doing so, she altered the teacher-student paradigm by having an open discussion with Max, as opposed to being told what to do. This reversal is an enlightening experience for Max because now he realizes that to become a better person, open communication is a necessary construct. On the first week at Grandma’s, a man named Shotgun Cheatman died. Everyone in the town went to the funeral because he was the well known assistant to the Mayor. The funeral was held in Grandma’s house and a creepy thing happened that night when Tom the cat crawled inside the casket. The next day, Joey, Mary Alice and Grandma left the house and walked across fields of tall grass and “cow pies aplenty” to Salt Creek to go fishing. They found an old wooden boat and Grandma rowed the boat out into the creek. While on their fishing adventure, they encountered a cottonmouth snake that fell into the boat and a party of drunken men on land dancing in their underwear.
I picked The Longest Ride as my movie to show examples of Luke Collins and Sophia Danko in relationship stages because I recently watched the movie and remembered it having a good story, building up a relationship, but also having problems and breaking up. This movie does an excellent job showing the first four stages: initiating, experimenting, intensifying, and integration. On the other hand the last four stage: differentiating, circumscribing, stagnating, and terminating, was a little more challenging, in account of them experiencing a break up and then eventually getting back together quickly.
