Martin Luther King, Jr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a man who inspired many people to never give up just because something is hard or difficult. King promoted equality despite the color of someone’s skin or religious beliefs. In 1964, Martin Luther King, Jr. became the youngest man to earn a Nobel Peace Prize. King was involved in many important movements. King grew up during a racial injustice, fought for equal rights for everyone, and continues to be a role model for advocates for social change. Martin Luther King, Jr. was born in 1929 in Georgia (elibrary). King grew up during a violitale period for African Americans and their fight for equal rights. Unfortunately for King, his skin was brown and white people didn’t like brown people.
