What does the weakness mean? Weakness is a symptom of a number of different conditions. Sometimes is on physical and sometimes is mental. The book “ Of Mice and Man” by John Steinbeck. It talk about two men who are working in the farm. Lennie is a good friend with George, who always care about him. Lennie is very strong, but he couldn’t control his power. He likes to touch the soft things. This habit brings him a lot of troubles in the story. Candy is cleaner in the farm. Lennie and Candy are broth weak in the story, but they are different from each other. Lennie is a important character in this book. Even though he is strong in body, but he is very weak in his mental. When he is in trouble, he always cry like a child. For example, Lennie found a dead mouse on the roadside. He feel very soft on mouse’s body. He want to keep it. But it makes George feel very angry. because George thinks dead rat is not very fresh. When George try to take out mouse. George “heard Lennie’s whimpering cry and wheeled about. ‘Blubberin’ like a baby! Jesus Christ! A big guy like you” (9). From George’s view, He think that don’t have a spirit of normal adults like Lennie like to touch a dead mouse. Even though Lennie looks like a strong adult. …show more content…

He is a old swamper in the farm. But he was different between Lennie. Candy is weakness in physical. When he is greeting George and Lennie, “He pointed with his right arm, and out of the sleeve came a round stick-like wrist, but not hand”(18). Candy has no hope of life, when he lost his own hand in the accident. He worried about his future and fear of becoming useless because of his hand. He only can does some clearing work in the farm. But when he hears Lennie and George’s dreams which want to have a farm of their own, He rekindled the hope of life and joined in
