There are many different First nations that all have various ideas and aspirations that they follow. For example there are many similarities and differences between the First Nation groups Mitaanjigamiing and Lac Seul according to the beliefs ideas, and language that they believe and follow. The Mittaanjigamiing first nation group has a custom electoral system of government, consisting of a chief and two councillors forming their councillors. The Lac Seul First Nation group is an Ojibwe First Nation band government which is and operate on different governance systems as well. The Lac Seul First Nation group have many resources and services that help shape their group. The Lac Seul First Nation group is an Ojibwe First Nation band government located on the southeastern shores of Lac Seul , and 56 kilometres northeast of the city of Dryden, Ontario. All though the Lac Seul First Nation group is a part of Treaty 3, the First Nation is a member of the independent First Nations Alliance. The populationon of lac Seul is 3,323 and 902 live on the reserve. The First Nation groups governed by chief Clifford Bull and eight councillors. Four are from Frenchman’s Head, three from Kejick Bay and one from Whitefish Bay. The treaty was signed by Chief John Cromarty, which makes the reserve the oldest reserve in in the Sioux district. Some of their services they provide include helping with healthcare, and providing treatment for your health. Another service that they offer that is important to their group is supporting a public area known as Archie’s Landing in Frenchman’s Head which serves as an entry to lac Seul First Nation group and a important point …show more content…
