The Jordan Rules

The Jordan Rules were an important aspect for the rivals of the Chicago Bulls the Detroit Pistons in the 1980’s and early 1990’s. This style of defense limited the players of the Bulls defense including Jordan from entering the paint and was carried out by Dennis Rodman and Bill Laimbeer. The Rules were most effective for the Bulls opponents during their first three playoff games. Detroit beat Chicago 4 games to 1 in the 1988 Eastern Conference semifinals using these Rules. The Jordan Rules were a defensive basketball strategy hired by the Pistons against Michael Jordan in order to limit Jordan's ability out on the court specifically on offense.
