William Golding's Lord of the Flies demonstrates mans inhumanity to man. In my opinion, William Golding's perspective on how humans can treat one another was authentic and genuine. The book The Lord of the Flies talks about a group of young British boys who had been stranded on an secluded island without authority, rules, or means of rescue. During their stay on the island the boys made crucial errors and mistakes that could of been prevented , but instead were endorsed. The first mistake the boys made happened to be when they burned half of the island trying to create a fire signal; they also lost the boy with the mulberry birthmark. They allowed the fire to diminish while a ship was passing by, losing the opportunity to be rescued . The
