1. Torture is a practice that has been carried out throughout history. It is viewed by some as a necessary tool to help counter terrorism. That it is the only way to get important info from ruthless creatures. But I remind you that we are all human. Creatures that can think and reason. If these people can think and create these nefarious plans, Knowing full well the consequences of their acts, then it will take much more than you knocking them around to change the darkness in their hearts!

If torture really is the only way to reach depraved, twisted and broken minds, then why not use it everywhere? For people that are parents or legal guardians of people with autism and developmental delays treating and managing their symptoms can be a daunting task. Places like the The Judge Rotenberg Center (JRC, originally founded as the Behavior Research Institute) Located in Canton, is a residential facility that uses behavioral treatments, methodologies and educational services to work with children and adults with severe developmental disabilities and emotional or behavioral disorders. They reward good behavior with privileges and aid in finding a job. But one wrong step and you’ll be treated like a terrorist. In 2002, an autistic student named Andre McCollins who attended JRC, was strapped down and given electric shocks for hours, leaving him with burns and permanent brain damage. All because Andre refused to take off his jacket. All students at JRC are required to wear Graduated Electronic Decelerator at all times so that can deliver shocks administered by the JRC whenever they feel a student has done something wrong, similar to an electric dog collar. The staff was instructed to shock students for behaviors such as rocking back and forth, not paying attention, closing their eyes or tearing a paper cup.
8. The JRC and the CIA have a long documented history of abuse. The United Nations have investigated the school and called their practices “torture.” The founder of the JRC, Dr. Matthew Israel, resigned after being charged with misleading a grand jury by destroying video footage of students being shocked. Even now the CIA is being hounded to face up to their crimes against humanity and violations of laws that forbid torture.
