Why is Being Moral to Eating Food Extraordinary? No doubt that food is a very essential source of energy to the human body. But, certain types of food are immensely controversial such as meat. One side of the argument states that everyone should be vegan- someone who does not eat either all animals products or some like meat for certain reasons that might be righteous or even health and religious reasons in order for animals especially cattle to live life they deserve. On the other hand, critics believe that eating meat and other animal products does not differ from any other type of food like fruits and vegetables; and the stoppage of eating animals will increase their numbers in a way that might be dangerous to take control of after. If I had the chance to choose what to eat, I would certainly avoid having meat and go with vegetables, fruits etc. Nonetheless, in some events, I might be invited to eat certain type of meat like turkey. Last Thanksgiving, an American family invited me to their house; and I accepted the invitation. Once I arrived, they introduces turkey meat to me. At that time, I was thinking that if I had not tried to eat turkey, they might have considered it disrespectful not to eat it with them because it’s very traditional to eat turkey on that day. Back in the days, we had a farm that was full of cattle including sheep, cows and camels. Specifically, I was the one responsible for feeding them. I remembered once that my dad told me to take a small lamb to the butcher. Lately, while I was getting closer to the butcher store, I heard that lamb somewhat wailing. I did not believe what I heard at first; and I said that I must be imagining. When I arrived to the store, I looked at the lamb and I saw one of the things that I will not forget forever. I saw that small lamb’ tears like he was crying for a while. After, I felt so sorry like I was the one who caused that small lamb to cry. He must have been very scared; thus, I returned it to the farm. All that time, I was contemplating about my father, I know that he told me to sell the lamb to the butcher because he needed the money. Later, my dad arrived. I told him what happened, he said “Ali, you’re a good person but you know son that we need money to live though”. I told him that I can work a part-time job to gain it. He was very understandable and he said “O.K. son. We all need to work to gain some money”. Three months ago, my father told me that he sold the whole farm to a local vegan company; whereas, I liked it. But, I don’t know why I am still feeling guilty.
