Many people in America have something against immigrants who come to this country looking for a better life and to escape from violence. “It is certainly not fair that undocumented immigrant workers do not pay taxes, and it is certainly unfair that they use public services without contributing to it” (Miller 55). For these Americans, their perspective on illegal immigrants is that they are nothing but a waste of space in this country and they are taking away this country’s resources and money with all the kids they are making once they accommodate themselves. The Americans who dislike illegal immigrants want the government to send them back to their country because they just cannot stand immigrants. Illegal immigrants learned how to adjust to the lifestyle of the United States and several of them managed to avoid the immigration officers.
a. Deviance- the violation of norms (or rules or expectations) This film displays several forms of deviance, but to the immigrants documented it may not be considered deviance. Attempting to cross the borders into America illegally is an example of deviance. To citizens of America, or even Canada, going through life endangering obstacles and risking the outcome of it all being for nothing is not normal. We as citizens, we don’t usually think about the fact that to the immigrant it is not deviant but instead a last resort. We watched immigrant’s loose legs from trying to jump the train and risk Mexican police officers stealing everything they had just to then be turned around any way.

Illegal Immigration One of the most controversial political issues of today is that of illegal immigrants from Mexico. Illegal immigration into the United States is a problem that should be stopped, as it is unfair to both Americans and to the people of the country from which they illegally immigrated. It is thought that the majority of illegal aliens residing in the U.S. are Mexicans (Anderson 55). Roy Beck clarifies the situation by stating, "The national consensus is that the United States should be a post-mass immigration country has included most leaders of business, religion, labor, academia, and social work." Illegal immigration from Mexico must be stopped by means of different policies and other methods of prevention, because the effects on both Mexico and the United States are predominately unfavorable.
Immigrants arrive in America in different ways. One is crossing the border illegally by land. Another way get into the US are by false identities or by stolen, or falsified passports. Another way is by illegal smuggling boats. ?Others enter with legal documentation and then violate the terms on which they have been admitted by taking jobs that are not authorized or overstaying the authorized period of stay in the country?
This complication resulted in a new type of immigration: illegal immigration. Ignoring American laws, these immigrants enter the country unnoticed and assimilate themselves into American Culture. With large borders and citizens who fail to abide by the law, the government basically allows them to actually cause some major damage. To fully understand the issues developed from illegal immigration, the history of illegal immigration in the U.S. must be understood first. At the country’s start few policies were in place regulating immigration.
No matter what the reason is, they can't afford to lose their job or be deported back to their own country. Most of these illegal immigrants are carrying too much weight on their shoulders. Most problems are not big deals comparing to lose a job, because they believe that as long as they can keep their jobs for living in this country, there is a hope to become legal one day. Illegal immigrants victims are invisible, because they are not aware of their situation, they don't know to get help or they are afraid to be fired and deported. No matter what reasons are causing them invisible, one thing we know for sure is that these reasons are giving other people opportunities to hurt illegal immigrants.
Any immigrant who commits murder or other offense after coming to this country will be dismissed. Their legalization will never come. Most illegal immigrants who come to this country are asylum seekers. These immigrants seek refuge and peace in the United States. Nevertheless, some illegal immigrants come here for disastrous reasons.
