When I was younger, one of my favorite books was I'll love you forever. This book was very important to me because it was the first book that was ever read to me, that I actually understood. My mom read it to me practically every single night. It also made me really happy, because the story line of it was; even though you grow up, you will still be your moms little baby. Of course, when I was younger, I was like "It will be so long before I grow up, I have so many more years to come!" And now I am a senior in high school. Where does the time go? It seemed like just a few days ago, my mom was reading this one simple book to me every night when I was in pre-school. Now I am a senior? Its just crazy how time flies. When I was young, I thought that reading and writing was so boring and pointless. Why would kids need to learn how to read, when we already know how? But then going into high school, my whole point of view on it had changed. It is honestly one of the most important classes I think there is to take in high school. You learn how to write letters to people, which is really needed if you had to write a letter to a college, or to a boss for a job. You also learn so much vocabulary that is really needed in the big world (if you don’t want to feel dumb with having no vocabulary.) Plus, you learn how to take out certain information out of a reading, and put it into an essay! English is crazy important, and I am so glad I take it seriously, because if I didn’t, I would have a really hard time in the future with many
