In Reggio Emila schools, in order to promote creativity the teacher must consider each child to play a central role in their learning .The activities include learning about life ,dramatic play, sculpture, drawing activities, dancing, puppetry,shadow play, painting ,music, making ceramics and construction.
The arts can play a important role in improving children's ability to learn ,because they can make use of a range of learning styles to develop their intelligence. Schools who offer ,art, drama, dance ,creative writing and music into their curriculum have been found to significantly affect a child's overall success in school.
Education of the arts enhances children better understanding of the world, and broadens their perspective on academics. The arts allow children the creativity to express themselves while challenging their intellect .These activities are good practice for their brain because they must use both sides of the brain. Today paint is used with children of all ages and is a relatively cheap and easy material to work with.
Physical benefits
Children will develop hand-eye co-ordination as well as control over their hands and upper arms. Using implements will strengthen their grasp and using paint brushes to make marks will help develop the control needed to use pencils.
Cognitive benefits.
Paiting should help children discover the link between shape, from and colour. Children will learn that new colours can be made by mixing two or more primary colours together. Bringing objects into the work setting and asking children to record them using paint is an effective way of teaching them to look and think. In this way quite young children can produce some extra ordinary work. Language
