In the study, children were given a sheet of paper and color utensils. The drawing were measure based on six observations. The first was the colors used and it was shown that the girls used more colors than the boys and there were no difference in ages. Any other color other than black, white or brown were seen as unrealistic and it was shown that girls under the age of seven and boys over the age of eight used more unrealistic colors.
