The honey bee colony is an organised group of organisms who live together in a nest called a bee hive in which there is interdependence between the members and they practice division of labour,the reason why they are called social insects.The honey bee's habitat is in temperate, as well as tropical habitats; they can be found in woodlands, meadows, orchards, gardens or any place with an abundance of flower bearing plants. Some scientists believe that honey bees originated from Central Africa and then spread to different regions of the world. Others however, hold that honey bees originated.Honey bees are heterotrophs since the feed on plants and they are primary consumers.Bees have a very important goal to play in a food chain.In the above food web they suck nectar from plants and the serve as food for spiders and and birds. But the honey the produce is used by man for many important things.Honey bees depend on sunlight and healthy soils as abiotic factors. They always come out when the sun is out and there you can never never see them when the weather is sad or bad and the come out to look for food or for a new hive if there is overpopulation in the older hive. When the soils are good the plants grow well and produce good food(nectar or pollen grains)so that these bees can feed on them. But bees also depend on precipitation and an indirect abiotic factor. Also bees depend on healthy plants/flowers as biotic
