“It’s not about how many I killed it’s about how many I could’ve saved.” These were the words spoken by Chief Petty Officer Chris Kyle a U.S. Navy SEAL and the deadliest sniper in U.S. military history. The 2015 action film “American Sniper” tells the story of Kyle’s heroism and willingness to return to battle despite his struggles with PTSD and his failing marriage. “American Sniper” stars Bradley Cooper as Chris Kyle, Jake McDorman as Ryan “Biggles” Job, and Sienna Miller as Taya Kyle. “American Sniper” was written and produced by Clint Eastwood and released by Paramount Pictures. The story begins with Kyle returning from a rodeo competition and finds his girlfriend cheating on him, and debates with his brother about settling down. His brother discourages this idea as he appreciates the "on the road" lifestyle. Kyle quickly scores several kills and quickly gains a reputation as well as the nickname "The Legend". By providing overwatch Kyle allows marines to safely clear houses, but still notices rising number of casualties. During one mission Kyle was protecting an armored squad of when a mother and her son attempted to throw a Russian explosive towards the Abrams tank. Kyle was forced to kill both the young boy and the mother, which haunted him throughout the rest of his career. Later on Kyle learns the location of of The Butcher who is Zarqawi's closest general. Unfortunately Kyle and his team are ambushed and pinned down by Mustafa, a Syrian sniper there to kill and collect the bounty placed on Kyle's head by enemy insurgents.
