Friar Laurence is to blame because he married Romeo and Juliet even though he was not supposed to. He only married them because he thought it would stop the feud, when in reality it made it worse, “For this alliance may so happy prove to turn your households’ rancor to pure love” (2.3. 91-92. Friar knew it was wrong bit married them anyways. If he would have done the right thing, none of this would have happened therefore Romeo and Juliet would still be alive. Friar Laurence is also at fault because he is very irresponsible. When he was coming up with ways for Romeo to be with Juliet, he never had a backup plan.
