Banksy's film "Exit Through The Gift Shop" title refers to the profit the artist's make from the exhibition they just displayed. Most art galleys offer reproduction, print and other memorabilia of the artist work to the visitors so they can buy them to remind them of the collection they just saw at the art gallery. It is a way for the artist to make money from the work of art they just displayed. In this film Banksy is trying to say that artwork will sell and their only interests in the money they will make from the art work. The title of the film means that money is the only factor for the exhibition. the film brought up many questions about what is art? and what is the value of art? The message of the film question why will anyone pay a large amount of money for a reproduction of the painting? is it still art if a famous artist painting does reproduce that was neither authorized by the artist nor it was part of the limited edition reproduction? and, shouldn’t the artist be trained, experience and original artwork for the art to have any value? 5???? Art is art even though some are short lived. the only way to know that they ever existed is by documentation of some sort to remember they existed.
