The staff are left feeling defeated and not supported. This can cause an unsafe work environment because if there are no ramifications for the youth’s delinquent behavior, kids will feel like that can assault staff or touch staff in a sexual manner at any moment and staff are placed in a dangerous work environment. Furthermore, the data Springfield is receiving on the progress of the youth and each facility will be inaccurate because every incident that occurs is supposed to be documented, sent, and reported to Springfield, Illinois, but administrators throw away tickets and sweep incident under the rug because they are trying to uphold a positive image that they can handle the youth without the use of force or negative reinforcement or
