Voting is important to democracy because it includes the people of America to be apart of choosing who will lead the country and and what America will do and not do. The people of America can suggest improvements for the country to make. Should the citizens of American be forced to vote? There are three reasons why Americans should not be required to vote. Some countries don’t do compulsory voting, government can be hiding information, and uneducated people bad decisions. Or Else” Fraser forum, Filip Palda states that the less legitimate politicians feel, the more they will try to pass laws that will cover up their Potemkin Facade (a show designed to hide an undesirable fact or condition). This evidence helps explain why American should not be forced to vote because the government may be hiding or covering up information about the political system, so they can convince people that the system is great and Americans should vote. The third reason why Americans should not be forced to vote is that uneducated people can make bad decisions. People are unaware of what they are voting for. This evidences helps explain why Americans should not be required to vote because people that are uneducated can make bad voting decisions.
