In the movie, “Mrs. Doubtfire”, Daniel is a freelance voice actor that quits his job one day over a disagreement over a script and throws a wild birthday party for Chris, one of his three children with Miranda. He is a devoted and loving father to all three children, Chris, Lydia, and Natalie but Miranda believes he is an unreliable husband. The wild birthday party with a petting zoo is the last straw for Miranda. She had to leave work and go home due to a neighbor's complaint and is angry that Daniel planned the party behind her back. They get into an argument and she files for divorce. The judge, at the first custody hearing, grants Miranda sole custody of the children since Daniel has neither a residence nor a steady job. He states that if Daniel gets a steady job and a residence suitable for children within three months, he will allow Daniel and Miranda to share joint custody. Daniel attempts to rebuild his life. When he learns that Miranda intends to hire a housekeeper/nanny and refuses to allow him to watch the children, he disguises himself as a 70year old scottish lady and is hired by Miranda. An example of this was in the movie was when Daniel quit his job and eventually after reexamining his situation, he was hired at a television company. He was also made the transition to Mrs. Doubtfire in order to care for his children. Although he made the change to Mrs. Doubtfire out of a need to care for his children, he made the change to work in the TV station because he wanted to change and improve his situation with his family. He was able to resolve his conflict with Miranda at the end and it led to a full time TV show for himself as Mrs. Doubtfire. The changes made by Daniel were a good opportunity for growth for
