Brief and PowerPoint
When doing the Brief Outline, many of my strengths relied on finding credible sources that gave me reliable intel I could use in my speeches. In each one of my speeches, I was required to have one peer-reviewed source journal article, but I went above and beyond those expectations and added two or more peer-reviewed articles in each of my speeches. This helped me create more credibility to my audience as I was presenting each one of my topics. My strengths that came with creating each PowerPoint was that I focus on main ideas that I wanted to address. I would make short phrases that I would look at during my speech to help my train of thought, making it easier to get my point across. Another strength was how I enhanced my PowerPoint by adding visuals to attract my audience’s eyes. This gave them a more visual outlook on the points I was discussing. The primary challenge I had when using PowerPoint was that sometimes it was difficult to embed certain pictures on to slide due to not being compatible with PowerPoint. I enjoyed making the in-class survey for this topic to see the response my colleagues gave. However, the Brief Outline was harder to complete, since there was not a lot of statistics that have been shown for animal testing. The PowerPoint was easy to create once I had my Brief Outline done, but I will I condensed the points I wanted to make to shorten the amount it took to get through my speech.
