2. Discuss what is means if the patient is diagnosed with epilepsy? What are some of the different types?
If a patient is diagnosed with epilepsy it means that the person has a disorder which causes them to have repeated seizures which causes the person to shake. They can even result in physical injuries. Epilepsy can be described in two ways such as symphonic epilepsy and idiopathic epilepsy. Symptomatic means there is brain injury while idiopathic means that the epilepsy is usually genetic or inherited. Just to name a few of the different type of seizures that I came across which are absence seizures, atomic seizures, complex partial seizures, and febrile seizures.
