Ender in the novel varies largely than from the film. The first noticeable difference is the age. In the book, Ender ages from 6 to a young adult and then at the end of the novel, Ender is an adult. The movie instead starts Ender at the age of 11. In the book, Ender is younger which causes the reader to feel even more sympathy towards as he deals with Graff, other kids, and the battles. Another difference in the movie is that the directors portrays Ender as closer to Valentine in the film. Ender is made to be a mix of Valentine’s compassion and Peter’s brutality.
