West Virginia has a lot of issues due to drugs. Every Time people turn the news on there is either a death, or crime caused by drug abuse. West virginia has the highest drug overdose rate in the nation. That is three times the average. The state itself has the second highest unemployment rate, which brings depression and loss of hope. So, when people feel down they turn to drugs whether that be prescription or straight from the dealers. Another main reason for job issues is because the can’t pass a drug test. And when drugs increase jobs, and the economy goes down. Also some results of drugs are crime. Daily there are countless issues caused by people under the influence.
