One of the newest forms of motorcycle racing is the fastest sport ever to take place on two wheels. Dirt track racing is a simple sport. The goal is to find the fastest line on the track and hold off the others riders while you are in first place. There are no rules in Dirt track, other than turn left! One important piece of equipment rider’s use is their hot shoes. It’s a steel shoe that goes on the bottom of your boot while racing. This allows a rider to put his foot down while going through the turns. Also some riders pull the kick starter of their motorcycles for less weight. From the sound to performance of a Harley, there is no wonder why these machines dominate the world of racing. Although Harleys are great for racing, they are also just as good for riding through town in style. If you are in a hurry a motorcycle is the perfect machine to get you to where you need to go. Not only do people love riding in general, but the motorcycle community is filled with great people you’d never expect to see with such a powerful machine between their legs. Dirt track is an especially neat form of racing because most motorcycles are converted to flat trackers. This means that you can’t take your stock motorcycle and go out and ride as fast as you can towards a turn and expect it to go smoothly. Dirt track racers usually have special tires with extra tread or none at all, it all depends on the quality of the race track. Everything from tires to gas and skill all go in to winning a race. The riders reach extremely fast speeds up to about 75 miles per hour!
