Romeo and Juliet Essay It surprises me how desperation can be such a thing that can tear a person apart, and it leads to things we never suspected. This is what happens to the lovers Romeo and Juliet. Many of us think of desperation in different ways. Desperation can be something good for you but most likely not. And in this case desperation lead to death, the cause that lead to the death of Romeo and Juliet. There could be more reasons to their death, including hatred, fate/destiny, fear but this all comes together as desperation, the fear of not being together, there destiny of not being together, because of their family feud, all led to their desperation of wanting each other. A very important scene from the story, which leads up to the events that take place, shows Romeo’s desperation the most. It also shows Juliet’s desperation, but it shows of who and what Romeo is more. In Romeo and Juliet the balcony scene, where they meet after the party. This is a very important scene in the story, as it’s the scene where Romeo is wooing Juliet. There Romeo talks to Juliet about getting married. Juliet’s actions also shows her desperation. A quote from Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare shows us, “This is thy sheath; [Stabs herself] there rust, and let me die.”(V, iii, 183). Juliet couldn’t believe that Romeo died for her. And she was in shock, and that caused her to kill herself, and die with Romeo. Juliet was immature and didn’t think things through, as well as Romeo, which lead to this big mess. So many death’s occurred because of both of them. They both killed themselves and it was because of desperation. Juliet thought she finally got someone who will love her, Romeo thought he found love again. He would not be heartbroken anymore. But unfortunately that didn’t happen, and that desperation lead to the blame of Romeo and Juliet’s death. This takes us back to how there desperation for each other lead to the cause of their death. And they started loving each other so much, talking all lovey dovely turned their love into desperation.
