There is a theory or even a belief that Willy Loman has a lot of problems, but people think he may have been suffering from depression. There are so many symptoms from depression it is truly stunning. In the dictionary (google), the word depression means feelings of severe despondency and dejection, which means when people have it they lose interest in things they used to love doing the things they enjoy. The meaning of depression varies from one person to the next but there is something they share in common. The thing that they share in common is lack of motivation for anything, even if it is fun. When suffering from depression, feeling this way is completely true.
