Give Me Honor or Give Me Death Honor is something that can be found in most people; it is integrity that a person sets for himself/herself to uphold. In history, honor was found mostly on the battlefield when warriors fought each other in a fair way. During this time, dishonor would usually tarnish the family name of that warrior, what ensued was for the most part, suicide. Today, honor is not as dramatic; it can be found in sports such as basketball and football in the form of sportsmanship as simple as a handshake. When I think of honor, I see the color blue because though honor can be fierce, it is also more calm, cool, and collected than we think. The shape of honor would be a triangle sitting on a point because honor can become dishonor in a blink of an eye. These fierce warriors followed a code of honor known as “Bushido”, which means, the way of the warrior. To maintain their honor, Bushido was followed where Samurai would display acts of righteousness, courage, mercy, politeness, sincerity, loyalty, and character. When Samurai fought, they did in a civilized way: both warriors would first bow to show respect for each other. On the other side of the coin, we find the ninja in which their way of fighting was very dishonorable compared to the samurai.
