The definition of being rich is different for everyone. Merriam Webster defines rich as “having abundant possessions and especially material wealth”. For some people, having a lot of money is the ultimate end goal in life while there are people who just want enough to live a happy and stable life. In the world we live in today, money is essential but only to an extent. Money dictates where you live, what you eat, the level of education you can receive and what you can provide for your loved ones. Aside from buying necessities, living a comfortable life and paying off bills, the relationship you have with people is more important. So in many ways, money does play an important role but at the end of the day, it is the moments you share and bond you have with loved ones that dictate the true meaning of life. With that in mind, having money is ideal but my goal is to make a good amount of money and still be able to have time for family and friends. I know it isn’t my dad’s intentions; to not have time to spend with the family. Of course having a lot of money is ideal, but it depends on the situation like how the money is made.
