David Hille, who is around 72 years old, lives in suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. He enjoys his days reading, playing chess, and garden care. In free time, he also likes to watch baseball. He is Indians fan, Cleveland’s very own baseball team. He lives with his wife, who is five years younger than him. His only son, lives with his own family nearby, GUY often visits them and tries to help his granddaughter with her homework. Unlike other elder people I know, he likes the computer up to certain extent. He likes his smart TV, mainly when it comes to watching the baseball games, old movies, and documentaries. Even though his career fairly involved technology, he doesn’t like when he sees his grandchildren using the computer devices all the time. He still remembers buying his first phone which could only make phone calls; he says, “Now I have heard you can do anything with a phone”. Over the time technology has changed a lot. He agrees and dislikes that computers are becoming a hurdle in the social life. It’s not the computer in particular that he dislikes; he says, he dislikes the way people use. …show more content…

Now it seems like as if people do not even know how many or how far a library is. “We used to go the library whenever we were curious about something”, he says, “but now, you can just computer things.” He also emphasizes that it’s good to have resources nearby you, and learn from them, but he also feels like people are getting dumber because of the computer.
