The Empire Strikes Back Foreshadowing Assignment Luke is currently on Dagobah. Luke is shown with Yoda strapped to his back running and swing on vines in a foggy bog. Yoda states “Run! Yes. A Jedi's strength flows from the Force. But beware of the dark side. Anger... fear... aggression. The dark side of the Force are they. Easily they flow, quick to join you in a fight. If once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny, consume you it will, as it did Obi-Wan's apprentice.” Luke then asks “Vader. Is the dark side stronger?” Yoda replies “No... no... no. Quicker, easier, more seductive.” Luke goes on to ask how he can tell the difference from the two. Yoda explains that he will know. Yoda says that that the days training is over, so Luke set him down and sees a huge, black dead tree with a cave next to it. “There's something not right here.” Luke chillingly states. “I feel cold.” Yoda is shown sitting on a log pointing at the cave with his cane. Yoda solemnly states “That place... is strong with the dark side of the Force. A domain of evil it is... In you must go. ”What's in there?” Luke asks. “Only what you take with you.” Yoda says in a quiet voice. Luke grabs his weapon belt and starts to walk towards the cave. …show more content…

Luke enters the cave and starts exploring. The farther he goes in the darker it gets. There is a splash and then you can hear the sound of Darth Vader and his breathalyzer. In a slightly slower motion, you see Darth Vader walk around a corner as Luke backs up. Luke draws his lightsaber and Vader follows. Vader engages and Luke blocks every swing and then he swung and decapitated Vader. Vader's head in the mask roles over to Luke face up. Luke looks at it with intensity. The front part of the mask pops off to reveal a face that is identical to his. He stares at it
